This patient is a 33 year old male from the Greater Phoenix, Arizona area who presented to my Scottsdale, Arizona area medical practice with interest in chest and torso contouring.  Specifically, this patient was unhappy with the fullness of his chest and the excess fat in the abdominal and flank (love-handle) areas.  He wished to have a more masculine appearance overall.

I felt that this patient would be an excellent candidate for power-assisted liposuction of the chest, abdomen, and flanks.  I explained that he might also need direct glandular tissue removal from the chest if necessary.

In surgery, I used power-assisted liposuction to remove 300cc from each side of the chest, 550cc from each flank, and 425cc from the abdomen.  On examination in the operating room, I felt that no direct glandular tissue removal was necessary in this particular patient as I was able to achieve excellent flatness with liposuction alone.

After surgery the patient recovered nicely, and he was extremely happy with his new, more masculine appearance.  He felt a big boost in his self-confidence, and was able to wear regular t-shirts without being self-consious about his chest and torso.
