This is a 28 year old female from the Phoenix area who came to my Scottsdale area medical practice with interest in rhinoplasty (surgery of the nose).  She had previously had a rhinoplasty with another surgeon as a teenager, but had subsequently rebroken her nose.  Specifically, she was unhappy with the pointyness at the tip of her nose as well as irregularities and a hump on the dorsum (bridge of the nose).

I felt that this patient would be an excellent candidate for secondary (repeat) rhinoplasty.  My goals for her were to reshape the tip into a rounder, less pointy, more natural shape.  I also wanted to smooth the bridge of her nose to give it a natural line (not a ski-slope look).

The rhioplasty I performed included exposure and refinement of the tip, a gentle shaving of the dorsal hump, and cartilage grafting to smooth the nose.  The patient was very happy with the new appearance of her nose, and has a renewed sense of self-confidence.
