Power Assisted Liposuction Case 321

This patient is a 35 year old female from the Scottsdale, Arizona area who presented to my Paradise Valley area medical practice with interest in revision breast surgery and "Mommy Makeover" surgery. This patient had undergone prior saline breast augmentation by another surgeon, and she was unhappy with the size and position of her breasts. Additionally, this patient was unhappy with the appearance of her abdomen after having children, and wished to improve her abdominal contour and waistline.

For this patient, I recommended exchanging her saline implants for smaller silicone implants, in addition to internal pocket tightening and a circumareolar (around the areola) breast tightening to improve shape and symmetry. I also recommended a full abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) with tightening of the abdominal muscles and liposuction of the flanks (love handles).

In the operating room, I exchanged this patient's overfilled saline implants (475cc overfilled to 550cc) for new Mentor cohesive silicone gel 450cc moderate plus profile implants. I also performed internal pocket tightening as well as external tightening with a circumareolar mastopexy. I performed an abdominoplasty with liposuction of the flanks at the same time.

The patient recovered very well after surgery, and was extremely happy with her improved, natural breast and body appearance.
