This patient is a 42 year old female from Arizona who requested a consult at my Phoenix, Arizona area medical facility due to problems with oversized breasts. This patient had severe drooping and heaviness of the breasts which caused neck pain, back pain, shoulder discomfort, and difficulty with physical activity.
I recommended a breast reduction for this patient which I felt would relieve the majority of her symptoms as well as improve her proportions and overall appearance.
In surgery I performed an anchor scar breast reduction with a full lift. The nipples/areolas were left attached to the underlying breast tissue. I removed approximately 550 grams from the right and 640 grams from the left due to a preoperative asymmetry.
After surgery the patient healed well and was extremely happy with the relief of her symptoms and the improvement in her appearance.
