This patient is a 33 year old male from Surprise, Arizona who presented to my Scottsdale Arizona area medical practice with interest in gynecomastia surgery. This patient had excess fullness in the chest region and was self-conscious about his appearance.
I felt that a combination of power-assisted liposuction and glandular tissue removal through the lower border of the areola would give him the best improvement in his appearance.
In surgery I removed approximately 300cc of fat from each side of the chest in addition to removing rubbery glandular tissue from behind the areolas. This gave the patient a significant improvement in his chest contour.
After surgery he had minimal pain and was very pleased with his new appearance. He feels much more confident shirtless, and also feels better about how he looks in T-shirts and other clothes with a tighter fit.
