Dr. Maffi completed his plastic surgery fellowship training at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in 2004. In addition to his aesthetic surgery training, Dr. Maffi also performed a high volume of facial reconstruction for trauma and burn patients, working with one of the premier facial reconstructive surgeons in the nation. These experiences further advanced his expertise in facial anatomy and the intricacies of facial surgical techniques.
After completing his training, Dr. Maffi joined Dr. Jack A. Friedland, an internationally recognized plastic surgeon focusing on facial aesthetics in Scottsdale, Arizona. After spending time with Dr. Friedland, Dr. Maffi continued to advance his knowledge and experience when he started his own practice in 2007, and now he has expanded his network to work out of the Scottsdale Center for Plastic Surgery as well!

Dr. Maffi recognizes that surgery is just one component of facial rejuvenation, and as a result he dedicated himself to gaining expertise in both the surgical and nonsurgical components of facial aesthetics.
