The patient is a 48-year-old female who presented to my Paradise Valley office with complaints of breast size larger than desired, which was causing back, neck and shoulder issues. She also had excess laxity of the abdominal wall due to pregnancy as well as fullness in the bra fat and flanks.
A lateral flap of approximately 2 cm thickness was developed down to the chest wall and all the inferior and lateral excess tissue was removed and sent to pathology for analysis. This weighed a total of 466 g.
Attention was turned towards the left breast where a nearly identical procedure was performed. On this side, 456 g were removed and once again, when the patient's breast was tailor-tacked, she was noted to have excellent improvement in shape, size and symmetry.
