This patient is a 37-year-old female who had previously undergone a bilateral breast augmentation with circumareolar mastopexies in the past. The patient subsequently developed a capsular contracture, which was significantly worse on the left than the right. I felt that bilateral complete capsulectomies with implant exchange and Galaform reinforcement as well as redo circumareolar mastopexies would give the patient the best overall results.
In surgery I performed bilateral complete capsulectomies with implant exchange, placement of Galaform medium ovals bilaterally, and redo circumareolar mastopexies. The patient recovered nicely and was very happy with her improved appearance.
Galaform x2 pieces
Sientra smooth round moderate-plus profile cohesive silicone gel implants. On the left side, the implant was 455 cc and on the the right side, the implant was 485 cc.
Surgeon: Dr. Cohen
