This pleasant 41 year old female had previously undergone a gastric bypass and had lost 100 pounds. She presented to my office for post-bariatric abdominal wall reconstruction. She underwent a fleur-de-lis abdominoplasty and liposuction of the back and flanks for an improved abdominal contour. With the degree of skin laxity pre-op, a vertical component, although highly unusual in most abdominoplasties, was necessary in order to remove a sufficient amount of skin. She is shown only 2 months following her surgery.
