This is a 33 year old female who presented to my Scottsdale practice for removal of her breast implants. She had undergone submuscular silicone gel breast augmentation 10 years ago but given her history of autoimmune disorders and possible connection with silicone breast implants, she requested removal with complete capsulectomies in hopes that her symptoms would improve.
During her surgery I removed her old silicone gel implants which were in tact and then her capsules were removed. A mastopexy was then performed to contour and shape the remaining breast tissue. She is shown postoperatively feeling relieved that her implants are gone and feeling happy with her overall new look.
