This patient is a 39-year-old female that was unhappy with her unnatural appearing breasts. She had previously undergone silicone breast augmentation by another surgeon. The patient had unaesthetic, "fake" appearing breasts, which were too narrow and too round in appearance.
With regards to her revision surgery, I recommended an implant exchange from smooth round implants to larger textured anatomical silicone implants for a more proportionate size and contour. I also recommended switching from a subglandular (over the muscle) to a submuscular (under the muscle) plane, and I also recommended reinforcement with either Strattice to minimize the risk of muscle window shading.
After the surgery, the patient felt great and was very happy with her improved appearance.
